"The Invisible Magic of Caregiving"

Wayne's background fueled his passion for helping people living with illness, pain and disability.
Wayne has extensive background in management, media and technology. His personal experience includes that of a professional, multitasking husband caregiver. Wayne and his wife, Sherri, co-authored "But You LOOK Good" to share how to encourage and understand people living with illness and pain. Healings in Motion provides educational programs focused on brain health. As a special element of this year's Caregiver Symposium, we are adding this special element to our program. Magic tricks often work by covert misdirection, drawing the spectator’s attention away from the secret “method” that makes a trick work. Neuroscientist have studied brain images revealing that magic tricks are grounded in sensory reality. Our desire is to shift your focus off of the stress of Caregiving and focus on the true magic of it .

Healings in Motion was founded by Mary Nicholson, a professional health coach, stroke survivor. Ms. Nicholson survived a life threatening brain anerysm and grand mal seizure. Healings in Motion recently celebrated its 5th year presenting the "CV-RAPS" program, an acronym for the Central Valley Recovery, Awareness, Preventing Strokes program. It is a lunch and learn program that brings stroke support groups together and invite experts in the area of brain health to share the most current information supporting recovery. The annual "Coach for Life's Champions Awards Dinner & Show was established to provide an evening of dignity and respect for those fighting to recover.
